Humble Beginnings

CUTTERMASTER Professional
Work to improve on the venerable 1970s CUTTERMASTER end mill sharpener begins with Jeff’s CUTTERMASTER Professional – a modern tool grinder for today’s modern tools.
2010
DC Control System
By 2010 a workable DC drive system was in place and sharpeners from the woodturning community expressed a need for cool and quiet grinder as well, leading to the Tradesman DC Bench Grinder
2015
Tradesman US Patent
The Tradesman with its unique DC drive with CBN Precision Plated grinding wheels is formally recognized with a US patent.
2017
CUTTERMASTER Professional
The new version of America’s favourite end mill sharpener with more capability than ever.
2017
Tradesman Machinist
The Tradesman finds a home in machine shops, doing the work of a $10,000 tool grinder
2020
CUTTERMASTER Professional Trademark
January 2020, Cuttermasters acquired the Trademark CUTTERMASTER Professional. In June of 2020 Cuttermasters purchased all of the CUTTERMASTER inventory from Conquest Industries.
Every product in our line-up including the CUTTERMASTER line has been designed or redesigned by Jeff Toycen and then built by hand in our shop.
Over the last two decades, the company has developed a world-class crew of talented young men who are now experienced machine tool builders.
